Biography
PhD project description
The work focuses on resource trading within Grids and Clouds to build a connection between these two models of the utilization of computing power and storage space. Since Clouds are becoming more and more interesting - also in scientific communities - this aspect will also be discussed and solutions provided. Cloud computing could get a very feasible instrument to cover peaks. Making use of monitoring tools, one is able to forward the gathered information to some kind of accounting-billing or trading system. Such a system could enable a more global workload management.
